6月26日，发生于惠州市区东江沙公园附近东江江段的一起溺亡事件再次敲响警钟。　　

据惠州气象台天气预报，当日惠州最高气温34℃。惠州市区东江沙公园附近的东江水域，来了不少游泳者。

据了解，当日下午，一对青年夫妇带着6岁的儿子来到这里游泳嬉水。妈妈在岸上没有下水，父子俩戴上游泳圈游泳。安全起见，爸爸还给儿子的游泳圈拴上了安全绳。

父子俩游离岸边约30米的江中后，爸爸游离儿子，并让妈妈看着点孩子。之后，孩子的游泳圈与身体脱离，沉入水底。当二人发现只有游泳圈漂在水面上时，爸爸再去寻找孩子，已无力潜入4米深的水底而绝望。

事发时，惠州市心连心志愿者救捞队队长赵喜昌接到求助电话后，火速赶往东江沙公园水域。较早赶到现场的公安、消防、医务和游泳爱好者已联合展开搜救。

赵喜昌带领救捞队员赶到后，先后采用踏探搜寻和拉网式搜救进行救捞。在拉网搜救，第二次下网后终将溺水男孩找到。由于溺水时间过长，经医护人员极力抢救已无力回天。

据了解，今年端午3天假期，惠州博罗县园洲镇沙河段，国家级自然保护区象头山一处溪流和惠城区东江沙附近的东江江段，相继发生3起溺水事件，导致3人溺水死亡。
